Welcome to Oakridge Chiropractic
Workers Compensation Claims Contrary to what many people believe, you do not have to see your medical doctor to initiate a WCB claim. Chiropractors are primary health care providers who are amply equipped to assess, diagnose and treat (if appropriate) injuries that result from an accident at the workplace. It is important that as soon as you are injured you report the incident to your employer immediately. You will be required to fill out a report of what occurred and your symptoms. Your employer will also have to fill out a report. After the initial assessment with the chiropractor a diagnosis is determined along with what course of treatment or referral is necessary. Three reports need to be received by WCB so they can determine whether they will accept the claim which include yours, the employer's and the chiropractor's. It is important to complete and submit the reports in a timely fashion to allow WCB to have all the information to make their decision. Treatments under WCB are fully covered and are directly billed to them. Once accepted, WCB allows up to 6 weeks of care. At our clinic only chiropractic treatments are WCB approved.
